The Print Orders menu item on the Medical menu launches the Print Orders screen, which is used to print orders or order labels for one or more patient orders. The search criteria fields allow users to easily find the order or batch of orders to be printed. An order can then be selected and printed individually, or either of the Print All buttons can be pressed to print orders or order labels for all displayed orders.
Entry Date
Selecting a date in this field will limit the order search to find only orders entered into Methasoft on the date selected.
Processing Date
Selecting a date in this field will limit the order search to find only orders with a 'Process On' or 'Start On' date equal to the date selected.
Order Type
Selecting a specific Order Type in this field will limit the order search to find only orders of the type selected.
Patient ID
This column displays the 'Patient ID' of the patient for whom each order was entered.
Entered On
This column displays the Entry Date of each order, which is the date the order was originally entered into Methasoft.
Order Type
This column displays the Order Type of each order. Possible types include 'Dosage Change', 'Drug/Dose Type Change', 'Schedule/Phase Change', 'Special Takeouts', 'Custom Order', 'Administrative Detox', 'Financial Detox', 'Voluntary Detox', 'Titrate Up', and 'Custom Titrate/Detox'.
Processing Date
This column displays each order's 'Process On' or 'Start On' date, which is the date the order is scheduled to take effect.
Order Status
This column displays each order's current status in Methasoft. Possible statuses include 'Pending' (the order is scheduled to take effect on the Process On date), 'Cancelled' (the order was cancelled by a user or system nightly processes), or 'In Progress' (part of the order has been processed, part of the order remains pending, in the cases of multi-part Dosage Change or Titrate/Detox orders).
Reason for Order
This column displays the reason for each order, as entered in the 'Reason/Notes' field on the Orders screen. For 'Custom' orders, this column will display the order summary, as entered in the 'Summary' field on the Orders screen.
Print All Orders
Once one or more orders are displayed in the grid, pressing this button will print the Patient Orders report for each displayed order to the configured printer.
Print Order
Once an order has been selected in the grid, pressing this button will print the Patient Orders report for the selected order to the configured printer.
Print All Labels
Once one or more orders are displayed in the grid, pressing this button will print order labels for each displayed order to the configured label printer.
Print Label
Once an order has been selected in the grid, pressing this button will print an order label for the selected order to the configured label printer.
Search
Pressing this button searches for orders in the system, filtered by the Order Search Criteria selected.
Clear Criteria
Pressing this button clears all Order Search Criteria fields and the grid for beginning a new search.
1.) Press the Clear Criteria button. This will clear all Order Search Criteria selections and the results grid for starting a new search.

Printer Configuration
It's important that each user using this screen have Report and/or Order Label printers configured on the Print Setup screen.
Order Labels
Only specific types of label printers and label types can be used to generate Order Labels. If your facility would like to print order labels instead of orders, please contact Methasoft Customer Support for details before purchasing any label printer equipment.
