When reports are viewed in Methasoft, they are displayed on the Report Viewer screen. This screen is not accessible from menu items, but only appears when a report is viewed from the Run Reports screen. The Report Viewer displays the name of the report and the time at which the report was generated at the top. This screen is equipped with multiple functions for viewing, printing or exporting report data. The page arrows allow users to scroll through report pages and quickly view the first or last pages. The toolbar provides a Refresh button for refreshing report data, as well as page setup, export and zoom options.
Page arrows
Clicking on these arrows will scroll backward or forward through the pages of the report, one page at a time. The arrow with a vertical line before it will display the first page of the report when pressed. The arrow with a vertical line after it will display the last page of the report when pressed.
Refresh
Pressing this button will refresh the displayed report and retrieve the latest data.
Pressing this window will bring up the Print window as shown below. Users can specify the printer to print to, page range, and number of copies on this window before sending the report to the printer.
Page Setup
Pressing this window will bring up the Print window as shown below. Users can specify paper size, source, orientation and margin sizes on this window before sending the report to the printer.
Export
Pressing this button will bring up a menu for selecting the format to export report data to, an example is shown below:
The available selections on this menu can vary depending on the report that is displayed when the Export command is pressed. Once a selection is made on this menu, the Save As window will appear as shown below:
Users can rename the exported file, select a different output format, or select a different location to save the output on this window.
Zoom
Making a selection in this field will zoom in or zoom out on the report, or fit the contents of the report to your window. The default selection here when a report is displayed is '100%'.
