Administration > Tx Plan Preselected Items

The Tx(Treatment) Plan Preselected Items menu item on the Administration menu launches the Tx Plan Preselected Items screen. This screen is used to enter commonly used treatment plan items for more efficient treatment plan entry. The text of commonly used treatment plan problems, goals, methods, interventions, and outcomes can be defined on this screen. Treatment plan item types can be associated with one or more parent items above them. These associations allow items to be filtered out of a preselected lists on the Treatment Plans screen as preselected parent items are selected.

Considerations

Preselected Problems Cannot Be Associated With Parent Items

Preselected 'Problems' cannot be associated with parent items, since only the Treatment Plan itself is at a higher level in the hierarchy on the Treatment Plans screen. The Treatment Plan Parent item hierarchy is as follows: The Treatment Plan itself > Problems > Goals > Methods and Outcomes > Interventions. Interventions can be associated at all levels of the treatment plan. *See the Treatment Plans topic for more information.

You Must Associate at Least One Parent Item

If you do not associate the preselected items with at least one parent item, they will not appear available for selection on the Treatment Plans screen.

The '(Other)' Treatment Plan Item

There is a system coded 'Other' option available when creating a treatment plan on the Treatment Plan screen, found under the Counselor menu. This option is available at every treatment plan type level. This option allows user entered text for the plan type item. This is the only option available if no other items are not associated with the parent item. This option does not appear in the plan type items list on the Tx Plan Preselected Items.

The Preselected Item You Have Selected is in Use. Unable to Deleted This Item

If a preselected item has been selected and saved on the Treatment Plans screen, users will not be able to delete that item. When attempting to delete the item an application message will pop-up informing users that the items referencing the preselected item on the treatment plan, must first be deleted before the preselected item can be deleted.
