Report:  Takeout Preparation Sheet

This report displays all takeout doses that need to be prepared ahead of time to administer to patients over a selected date range.  The unit doses needed for each 'Drug Type'/'Dose Type' combination dispensed at your facility are grouped on separate pages, and this report includes a breakdown of the number of units of medication that will be needed from each split inventory type to prepare the takeouts.  In many facilities this report is printed each time a dispensing person prepares takeout doses ahead of time, and is often compared to the actual doses prepared following preparation to ensure accuracy.  This report adjusts data automatically to account for entered holiday dates, a facility's days of operation, 'Approved' patient orders, and split-dose amounts.

Report Column Explanations

Patient ID

This column displays the 'Patient ID' number of each patient needing takeouts prepared for them for the date range selected.

Patient Name

This column displays the full name of each patient needing takeouts prepared for them for the date range selected.

Phase

This column displays the 'Phase Type' of each patient needing takeouts prepared for them for the date range selected, as selected on the Dosing Information screen.

Dose Amount

This column displays the dosage amount of each takeout dose needing to be prepared for each patient.  Split-dose amounts appear separately in this column, thus a patient who takes two splits daily could have two rows of doses appearing on this report.

Takeouts

This column displays the number of takeouts needed for each 'Dose Amount'.

Total Mgs

This column displays the total number of mgs needed for preparing each 'Dose Amount', which is the 'Takeouts' multiplied by 'Dose Amount' for each row.

Primary Units

This column displays the number of units of medication needed of the primary dose type to prepare each row of doses.

Secondary Units

For applicable dose types, this column displays the number of units of medication needed of the secondary dose type to prepare each row of doses.

Tertiary Units

For applicable dose types, this column displays the number of units of medication needed of the tertiary dose type to prepare each row of doses.

Report Field Explanations

Drug Type

This field displays the 'Drug Type' of the takeout doses that need to be prepared.

Dose Type

This field displays the 'Dose Type' of the takeout doses that need to be prepared.

Grand Totals for (Drug Type)(Dose Type)

This field displays the total number of 'Takeouts' that need to be prepared, which is the sum of the 'Takeouts' column for each 'Drug Type/Dose Type' combination.

Total (Dose Type) Units Needed

This field displays the total number of unit doses that need to be prepared for each 'Dose Type'.

Criteria Explanations

From Date

This first dispensing date for which takeouts are being prepared is selected in this field.

To Date

This last dispensing date for which takeouts are being prepared is selected in this field.

Phase

This parameter allows users to limit report data by displaying only the takeouts needed for patients on the 'Phase Type' selected here.

Drug Type

This parameter allows users to limit report data by displaying only the takeouts needed for patients on the 'Drug Type' selected here.

Dose Type

This parameter allows users to limit report data by displaying only the takeouts needed for patients on the 'Dose Type' selected here.
