Report:  Prescription Information

This report displays all patient prescriptions as entered on the Prescription Information screen, including prescription numbers, drug types, names, strengths, pill quantities, refill quantities, prescribing doctor, instructions and each prescription's 'Start', 'End', and 'Expiration' dates.  This report is printed periodically in some facilities to review which patients are on specific medications, or as a hard copy to file in patient charts.  This report can also be used when entering Drug Screen Results to see whether or not a positive substance can be explained by an approved prescription medication.

Report Column Explanations

Patient ID

This column displays the 'Patient ID' number of the patient each prescription is for.

Patient Name

This column displays the full name of the patient each prescription is for, in 'Last Name'/'First Name' format.

Rx #

This column displays the 'Rx Number' entered for each prescription on the Prescription Information screen.

Rx Drug Type

This column displays the 'Rx Drug Type' selected for each prescription on the Prescription Information screen.

Rx Name

This column displays the 'Rx Name' entered for each prescription on the Prescription Information screen.

Strength

This column displays the 'Rx Strength' entered for each prescription on the Prescription Information screen.

Pills

This column displays the number of 'Pills' entered for each prescription on the Prescription Information screen.

Refills

This column displays the number of 'Rx Refills' entered for each prescription on the Prescription Information screen.

Start Date

This column displays the 'Rx Start Date' entered for each prescription on the Prescription Information screen.

End Date

This column displays the 'Rx End Date' entered for each prescription on the Prescription Information screen.

Expiration

This column displays the 'Rx Exp Date' entered for each prescription on the Prescription Information screen.

Report Field Explanations

Rx Doctor

This field displays the 'Doctor' selected for each prescription on the Prescription Information screen.

Rx Instructions

This field displays the 'Instructions' text entered for each prescription on the Prescription Information screen.

Criteria Explanations

Patient ID

This parameter allows users to limit the report's data to only display prescriptions entered for the patient whose 'Patient ID' is entered here.

Start On/After

This parameter allows users to limit report data by displaying only prescriptions with an 'Rx Start Date' on or after the date selected here.

End On/Before

This parameter allows users to limit report data by displaying only prescriptions with an 'Rx End Date' on or before the date selected here.

Drug Type

This parameter allows users to limit report data by displaying only prescriptions for the 'Rx Drug Type' selected here.

Include Inactive

This checkbox determines whether or not prescriptions entered for inactive patients will be included on this report.
