Report:  Dispensing Summary by Primary Payer

This report displays a summary breakdown of the number of daily doses and milligrams dispensed for all Drug and Dose Type combinations at a facility for a selected date range, broken down by the Billing Provider to which patients who received the medication are assigned.  Checking the Expand All Dates criteria filter will expand the report to include totals for each date on which medication was dispensed.  This report can be useful to administrative, pharmacy, accounting, and/or billing personnel.

Report Column Explanations

(Billing Provider)

This column displays each Billing Provider to which patients who received medication are assigned on the Payment Information screen.

(Dates)

This column only appears if the Expand All Dates criteria checkbox is checked, and displays each date on which milligrams were dispensed to patients assigned to each Billing Provider.

(Drug Type)

This column groups all Dose Types together for each Drug/Dose Type combination dispensed at a facility.

(Dose Type)

This column displays total number of daily doses and milligrams dispensed for each Drug/Dose Type combination dispensed at a facility.

Report Field Explanations

(Date)

These rows only appear if the Expand All Dates criteria checkbox is checked, and displays the total number of milligrams and daily doses of each Drug/Dose Type combination dispensed on each date to patients assigned to each Billing Provider.

Mgs

This row displays the total number of milligrams dispensed to patients assigned to each Billing Provider, as well as grand totals for all Billing Providers.

Doses

This row displays the total number of daily doses dispensed to patients assigned to each Billing Provider, as well as grand totals for all Billing Providers.

(Totals)

These rows displays the total number of milligrams and daily doses dispensed for each Drug/Dose Type combination dispensed at a facility for the selected date range.

Criteria Explanations

From

This parameter allows users to limit the report's data by displaying only dispensing summary data for dispensing transactions entered on or after the date selected here.

Through

This parameter allows users to limit the report's data by displaying only dispensing summary data for dispensing transactions entered on or before the date selected here.

Expand All Dates

This parameter allows users to expand the report's data by displaying an additional breakdown of the number of daily doses and milligrams dispensed on each date to patients assigned to each Billing Provider.
