Report:  Current Balance History

This report displays all current balance amounts for all 3 balance types tracked in Methasoft for each patient, for a selected 'History Date'.  Nightly processes store this information each evening, so that balance amounts can be viewed for any past date as of the time and date presented at the bottom of the report, which sometimes varies at different facilities.  The total number of active patients on the selected 'History Date' is displayed, as well as balance totals for all patients.  This report is often used by administrative, accounting, and billing staff for a variety of purposes.

Report Column Explanations

Patient ID

This column displays the 'Patient ID' number of each patient as entered on the Patient Profile screen.

Patient Name

This column displays the full name of each patient as entered on the Patient Profile screen.

Phase

This column displays the 'Phase Type' of each patient as selected on the Dosing Information screen.

Status

This column displays the 'Patient Status' selected for each patient on the Patient Profile screen.

Counselor

This column displays the 'Employee ID' (User ID) of the 'Counselor' assigned to each patient on the Patient Profile screen.

Patient Balance

This column displays each patient's current 'Patient' balance amount, as of the time and date indicated in bold at the bottom of the report.  A negative value indicates the balance is a credit balance.

Ins. Balance

This column displays each patient's current '3rd Party' balance amount, as of the time and date indicated in bold at the bottom of the report.  A negative value indicates the balance is a credit balance.

Deposit Balance

This column displays each patient's current 'Deposit' balance amount, as of the time and date indicated in bold at the bottom of the report.  A negative value indicates the balance is a credit balance.

Report Field Explanations

Balance History for: (Date)

This field serves as a header under which all active patients and balance amounts for the selected 'History Date' are displayed.

Total Patients

This field displays the total number of active patients for the selected 'History Date'.

Balance Total

This field displays the net totals for each balance type for all patients in the facility.

Criteria Explanations

History Date

This parameter is required and allows users to select the past date for which they wish to view current balances.  It is important to note that normally this report's data is stored off by nightly processes after midnight each evening.  View the bottom of this report to determine the exact time this data is being stored off at your facility.
