User Tracking

The User Tracking menu item on the Administration menu launches the User Tracking screen, which is a basic screen for tracking any type of employee deadlines, such as license or certification renewals.  The Perspective screen has includes a User Tracking portlet for displaying the entries on this screen with corresponding due dates, and the User Tracking Deadlines report can be used to view entries made on this screen.  This functionality provides administrative staff with a convenient method for tracking various employee deadlines.

 

 

Field Descriptions

 

Type

This field is used for selecting the Type of user tracking deadline being entered.  Available selections include all active values in the User Tracking Types code table.

User

This field is used for selecting the User for whom a user tracking deadline is being entered.  Available selections include all active Users on the Employee Profile screen.

Start Date

This field is used for selecting the Start Date of the user tracking deadline, which is interpreted to mean the last date on which the deadline was met for a recurring renewal deadline.

End Date

This field is used for selecting the End Date of the user tracking deadline, which is interpreted to mean the Due Date or deadline by which the task needs to be completed.

Comments

This field is used for entering any additional comment as needed for a user tracking deadline entry.

 

Grid Columns

 

Type

This column displays the Type selected for each user tracking deadline entry.

User

This column displays the User selected for each user tracking deadline entry.

Start Date

This column displays the Start Date selected for each user tracking deadline entry.

End Date

This column displays the End Date selected for each user tracking deadline entry.

Comments

This column displays the Comments text entered for each user tracking deadline entry.

 

Procedures

How to Add a User Tracking Deadline

 

1.) Click on New.

 

2.) Select the type of user tracking deadline being entered in the 'Type' field.

 

3.) Select the user for whom the tracking deadline is being entered in the 'User' field.

 

4.) Select the date on which the deadline was most recently met in the 'Start Date' field.

 

5.) Select the date on which the deadline will need to be met next in the 'End Date' field.

 

6.) (Optional) Enter any additional information or comments regarding the user tracking deadline in the 'Comments' field.

 

7.) Click on Save.

 

 

How to Edit a User Tracking Deadline

 

1.) Select the user tracking deadline to be edited on the grid.

 

2.) Click on Edit.

 

3.) Make changes as needed to data in the detail fields for the selected user tracking entry.

 

4.) Click on Save.

 

 

How to Delete a User Tracking Deadline

 

1.) Select the user tracking deadline to be deleted on the grid.

 

2.) Click on Delete.  A 'Delete this Record?' application message will appear, confirming you wish to delete the selected authorization.

 

3.) Click on Yes to delete the authorization or No to cancel.
